A huge asset to the school children, and the local community, is the Mbabzi school library. This library was started by Bruce Barron in 2000, who, for his 70th birthday, asked for gifts of children's books to go towards a new library. |

| The library started off as just a single room with a few second-hand books but has slowly progressed. The library now consists of four rooms, complete with desks, chairs, electricity and over 9,600 books. As there are only one or two primary school libraries in the rural areas of Malawi, this library is one of the biggest and most successful. |
